We easily become problem focused and obsess, worry, and get stuck in all-too-familiar patterns that lead nowhere. Wouldn’t it be nice to discover that you have within you guidance and creativity to clear the impasse? When we learn how to lower the volume on stress and anxiety and tune into the “inner mind,” flow begins to happen. Work, relationships, and other endeavors take new form. Hypnotherapy helps you to access the inherent power of your mind and “change the story” of your life.
As you begin to truly listen to yourself, trust yourself, and are less divided by inner conflict, you will be amazed at how your energy level improves and your problem solving abilities come naturally. You tune into what feels good in your life, and disengage from what is restrictive. You develop a new baseline for well being.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of mind that ranges between being fully awake, to being asleep. You do not lose consciousness while hypnotized. A “hypnotic trance” is a completely natural state that we move in and out of every day of our lives. As you fall asleep at night; when you gradually awaken in the morning; when you are in your car and “come to” realizing that you were driving “on automatic”—these are all states of self-hypnosis. ALL hypnosis is essentially self hypnosis, since no one can make you go into a trance. It is something that you allow. The use of hypnotherapy, however, makes it easier for you to access this state and initiate changes that are congruent with your greater good.
The advantage to experiencing hypnosis, and learning self-hypnosis, is it gives you the power to change channels from your day-to-day stressors to a clearer, calmer perspective, during which your inner mind can help you shift negative patterns, and discover delightful new solutions. You learn to use abilities that you already have, but have not known how to use. It heightens your natural intuition—that part of you that knows what you need and how to find it.
In the very first 90 minute session, you will have a chance to identify what you want to get from therapy, to experience hypnosis, and realize how comfortable and natural a state it is. It may be used in every session or only occasionally depending on the issue and your preference. However, frequent use can accelerate the achievement of goals. You can learn self-hypnosis, and individualized recordings can be made for you, to enhance the change process.
